Whispers From Children’s Hearts

3 Magical Questions

One Book ~ A Global Movement

During a life-changing trip to Cambodia, Lisa decided to ask three simple questions to a child they had encountered there. She had no idea her questions would one day spark a humanitarian mission. But that’s exactly what happened.

As a cultural researcher, Lisa Haisha had traveled the world and her favorite trips have always been the ones visiting developing countries where she was able to help children in need. When Lisa got engaged to her husband, Lee, she requested that together they go on one of these incredible eye-opening trips so she could share her passion about children in need worldwide.

Lee and Lisa went to Cambodia to interview the founder of a safe house for abandoned and mistreated kids. This was the first time Lee had taken a trip like this. After returning, and watching the footage they shot at the orphanage, the idea came to both of them: they wanted to help as many kids as possible around the world, and share that powerful experience with others.

Together, the couple formed The Whispers From Children’s Hearts Foundation with the aim of introducing more people to the needs of worldwide orphanages and to spread the word about how to get involved. By fostering cross-cultural awareness marked by compassion, peace and love, Whispers From Children’s Hearts (WFCH) is building bridges of understanding and awareness across the world.

Since then, Lisa and Lee have been offering international mission trips to orphanages around the world. Every person that has had the pleasure of joining these travel missions has benefitted from the unforgettable and life-changing experiences they witnessed. WFCH book Lisa continued to travel, collecting more quotes and meeting lots of wonderful children from all over the world.

“After some time passed, and in reading back through all the quotes we had collected,” Haisha recalls, “I realized there was much more here. The power and mystery embedded in the soul of each child was profound. I felt these children have the ability to show us things we can’t always see ourselves. They are a reflection of our adult world, which has a ripple-down effect on our children, which we ignore at our peril.”

In 2005 Lisa published Whispers From Children’s Hearts along with illustrator Tim Huhn, backed by Lee Aronsohn. Despite the inspiring story of how WFCH began, the book’s launch was a quiet one; Lisa’s goal was merely to preserve the voices and truths of the children who had made such an impression on her.

The topic of learning about children worldwide is a true passion for Lisa, she continues to engage kids globally and deeply enjoys sharing her knowledge. Packed with powerful insights, the book is still fresh and in demand. It’s an important topic that needs to be discussed now more than ever. Help spread the word!
