Meet Your Dominant Imposter: The Seductor

Your Dominant Imposter isn’t who you are.

It’s the survival strategy you’ve relied on most often.

Everyone has an inner cast. Over thirty years of working with people, I noticed seven survival strategies that appeared again and again. Eventually, I gave them names.

The Seductor was born the moment you believed that being admired was the safest way to be loved. What began as charm eventually became a way of earning your worth.

The moment you recognize The Seductor’s voice, something changes. You remember that your value isn’t found in how others see you. You are enough before anyone’s approval.

Core Belief

“If they admire me, they’ll love me.”

The Seductor seeks connection through charm, beauty, charisma, success, sexuality, or achievement. It carefully shapes how others perceive it, believing acceptance comes from being desirable.

Recognition

You may notice yourself:

  • Wanting to be liked by everyone.
  • Feeling uncomfortable when you’re not being noticed.
  • Measuring your worth by compliments or attention.
  • Working hard to create the “right” impression.
  • Feeling anxious when someone loses interest.
  • Believing you have to be extraordinary to be lovable.

The Gift

Every Imposter begins as a gift.

The Seductor is magnetic, expressive, creative, and socially aware.

It knows how to make others feel seen and valued.

Guided by your Authentic Soul, charisma becomes genuine connection instead of performance.

The Cost

When The Seductor keeps the microphone for too long, appearances become more important than authenticity.

You begin performing instead of simply being.

Approval becomes addictive.

No amount of attention ever feels like enough.

Love becomes something you chase instead of something you trust.

Meet Your Authentic Soul

Your Authentic Soul knows that the deepest relationships begin where performance ends.

Instead of asking,
“How do they see me?”

it quietly asks,
“Am I being true to myself?”

That question returns you to the Director’s Chair.

Remember…

This is only one member of your inner cast.

You may recognize yourself in several Imposters because we all call on different survival strategies throughout life.

Your Dominant Imposter is simply the one that reaches for the microphone most often.

The moment you recognize The Seductor, you’ve already begun to move beyond it. Awareness is how your Authentic Soul returns to the Director’s Chair.

The Approval Seekers

The Seductor belongs to the Approval Seekers.

Approval Seekers develop when love feels conditional. Their goal isn’t to manipulate others—it’s to earn acceptance and belonging.

The Seductor seeks approval by becoming irresistible.

Its companion is The Fixer, who seeks approval by becoming indispensable.

Different strategies. The same longing.

Both are trying to earn love.

You don’t have an anger problem.

You don’t have a relationship problem.

You don’t have a confidence problem.

You have the wrong character holding the microphone.

The moment you recognize who’s speaking, you can choose who leads.
